Rich Dawkins was appointed Assistant Director of Athletics at Herkimer County Community College in August 2010. Along with assisting the Director of Athletics with administrative duties, Dawkins is responsible for athletic contest scheduling, student-athlete recruitment and summer camp coordination. 

Dawkins was previously employed at Morrisville State College where he was an admissions advisor and recruiting coordinator for the Morrisville Mustang Football Team. At Morrisville, he served as the head men’s basketball coach (1998-2003) and running backs coach for Morrisville Football in 2004 and 2007. Prior to his employment at Morrisville, Dawkins was Stadium Operations Manager/Assistant Director of Athletics at HCCC from May 2005 to August 2007. He also has been as assistant coach on the Herkimer Men’s Basketball team since 2005. 

Dawkins holds an A.S. degree from Morrisville State College and a B.S degree in Human Development from Empire State College. He currently resides in Hamilton, NY with his girlfriend, Bridgette, and his daughters, Elizabeth and Anna.
