Baseball Field

Herkimer holds one of the top on-campus baseball facilities in the state of New York.  The completely fenced in ballpark has dimensions of 330 feet down the left field line, 320 feet down the right field line, and 400 feet to center field. The field has a southern ball park feel to it with grassed in baselines from home plate to first base and from home plate to third base. The baseball facility has home and away dugouts with turfed flooring, open faced dugouts, and a small fence in front of the dugout getting the players closer to the action on the field.  The baseball facility also features home and away bullpens, an outdoor batting cage, scoreboard, and an infield tarp to keep the field ready to play in case of bad weather.  The sound of music playing from the press box gets the students out of their dorm rooms, to the field, which creates one of the best home field atmospheres in the country.

Cristman Pool

The Generals' men's and women's swimming and diving teams compete in the six-lane, 25-yard pool, which features a one-meter diving board and a Colorado electronic timing system. The pool is also used for instruction and recreation, and is open to the community.

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center provides many different training techniques. We offer a variety of Life Fitness ® Cross-Trainer and Elliptical Machines as well as stationary bikes; tread mills and an indoor walking track. A highlight of the center is our full body circuit. The circuit is a combination of Life Fitness ® weight equipment and LeMond ® stationary bikes. The circuit provides a full body workout by combining weight training with cardio. Approximately 20 minutes in length, the circuit is a 30 second sequence alternating between varying weight machines and bikes. Guided by Freddy Fitness, the circuit is an excellent way to tone up and lose pounds!  

Main Gymnasium

The Main Gymnasium at Herkimer County Community College is one of the top gymnasiums in Region III.   We play our home basketball and volleyball contests here.  The intimate setting and favorable acoustics are excellent.  The main gym is also the primary gymnasium for our Physical Education classes.  We also hold many high school contests and community events in the Varsity Gym.   These events include high school sectional playoffs games, wrestling and karate tournaments along with musical bands.  The main gym is the site of Herkimer County Community College's annual commencement.  It has a capacity of just under 2000 people.

Recreational Gymnasium

The recreational gymnasium at Herkimer County Community College is a unique and diverse facility.  The rec gym is the size of a regulation basketball court and is used primarily for athletic team practices and physical education classes.  The upstairs portion of the rec gym is home to a two lane indoor walking/running track.  The indoor track is used for physical education classes and athletic practices, but is primarily used by community members for walking and jogging.

Softball Field

During the summer of 2009, the Herkimer Generals softball field received a complete makeover making it one of the top venues in the region.  The stone-dust infield was replaced by a beautiful and vibrant clay mixture while being outlined by new pristine sod giving it a "halo-effect".  Warning-tracks were cut out along the fence lines all the way around the field and filled with black stone-dust.  Four-foot high fences were put up in front of each dugout to ensure safety while getting players and coaches closer to the action on the field.  Generals field truly is one of the best places to catch a game whether you are playing or cheering.

Wehrum Stadium

Welcome to Wehrum Stadium, one of the premier community college athletic venues in the nation.  Wehrum Stadium is a state-of-the-art field turf facility and is one of the only community college facilities in New York State with an all-weather, synthetic grass playing surface.  The stadium has created a significant home field advantage for the Generals. The facility features home, away and officials' locker rooms as well as an athletic training room. The complex boasts a full service concession stand, press and television broadcast box, stadium bleacher seating, broadcast quality lighting, VIP guest area and rest room facilities. The field measures 120 yards x 80 yards.
