Freshman Joel Purkiss (Sheffield, England) has scored 19 goals, including three hat tricks, and assisted on 11 other goals in the month of September. He is a major presence whenever he is on the field. Purkiss has been named NJCAA national player of the week and Region III athlete of the week this month. “Joel is a pure goal scorer,” said head men’s soccer coach Pepe Aragon.
