Herkimer College Fitness: Affordable & Modern with a Quick Complete Workout
Herkimer College offers a state-of-the-art Fitness Center that is open to students, faculty, staff and the community. It’s a great place to get in shape – and stay in shape!
The Fitness Center provides many different training techniques, including:
- Life Fitness® Cross-Trainer Machines
- Elliptical Machines
- Lateral X Machines
- Stationary Bikes
- Tread mills
- An indoor walking track
- A 20-minute full-body circuit
20 Minutes for Total Fitness
A highlight of the Fitness Center is our full-body circuit. The circuit provides a complete, full-body workout in about 20 minutes through a combination of weight training and cardio.
The workout consists of a sequence of 30-second exercises alternating between varying Life Fitness® weight equipment and LeMond® stationary bikes. Guided by Freddy Fitness, the circuit is an excellent way to tone up and lose pounds.
Hours of Operation
The Fitness Center is open for use during the times below throughout the school year:
- Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
During college breaks and holidays the Fitness Center may close or have abbreviated hours of operation. Please call 315-866-0300 ext: 8215 or 315-574-4036 for these details.
To join the Fitness Center, visit the Community Education Office, located in the Robert McLaughlin College Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.

Cost of Membership or One-Time Use
Users can try the center for a day for $5, or sign up for one of the following memberships:
- 1-month: $30
- 6-month: $135
- 1-Year: $250
