Head Coach Matt Lee's team is in the runup to the Region III playoffs, and they are facing a very busy week. Tuesday they will make the short drive to Utica to meet archrival Mohawk Valley ("MV"). Herkimer is currently ranked #2 in the regional coaches' poll and the Hawks are ranked #4, but any of the top teams can beat any of the others. MV posted a major win on February 5th by defeating #1 Delhi at Delhi, 59-58.

Five regular season games will remain after the MV game. On Thursday, Herkimer will travel to Johnstown to play always-tough Fulton-Montgomery. The Generals will then have a home game on Saturday when they host Clinton CC in a 2:00 p.m. contest. They will finish the game-filled week with a trip to Saranac Lake to meet North Country on Sunday.
