Bowling competes in Nationals

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The Herkimer Generals had a strong showing from Destiny LeRoy (Sodus, NY) and Selena Barber at Nationals last weekend. Each student-athlete finished in the Top 35 in total events, helping their team to an 8th place finish (10003 pins). As for the men, their 14th place finish (10316 pins) came from solid contributions from Adam Kozecke (Endwell, NY), Trevor Marston (Georgetown, NY) and Christopher LaJuett (Troy, NY).

Picking up from where they left off at Regionals, the men had five bowlers finish in the Top 100. Kozecke finished with an average of 165.9 in all events, Marston finished with a 163.1, LaJuett finished with a 152.3, Joseph Hilts (Marcy, NY) finished with a 137.0 and Philip Tanner (Deposit, NY) finished with a 135.5. Helping Kozecke was a solid individual performance in singles, capturing 72nd place with a 502 series (159, 134, 209). Helping Marston and LaJuett was their 1048 in doubles. It gave the Generals a Top 25 finish.
