(Polk got his third hat trick of the season by successfully making a penalty kick in the 46th to make it 5-0).

UTICA, NY – Outscoring their opponents 36-0 in their last five games, the Herkimer Generals men’s soccer team remained undefeated against the Mountain Valley Conference Wednesday (10/8) afternoon, defeating No. 7 ranked Mohawk Valley 7-0, snapping the Hawks 11-game win streak.

It didn’t stop there for the Generals in the first half. Windster and Kipoliongo then scored themselves in the 25th and 30th minute on assists from Moulid Somow (Utica, NY) to double their lead into intermission 4-0.

It took Herkimer only one minute and 27 second to tally their first goal of the second half, seeing Polk get taken down just inside the 18 for the penalty kick. The sophomore scored the easy goal giving him his third hat trick of the season and 26th goal.

Increasing the lead to 6-0 in the 53rd was Windster, tallying his third multi-goal game. Assisting was Somow for his third assist in the game, getting three assist now twice this season.
