Herkimer Swimmers Break Three School Records
Batavia, NY-- The Herkimer Generals Swimming and Diving team traveled to Genesee Community College last weekend to compete in the Genesee Cougars' Last Chance Meet. This last meet of the regular season was memorable for the Generals as they had three swimmers break school records in the 50 breast stroke, 50 butterfly, and 50 back stroke. On the men's side freshman Austin Jory (Schenevus, NY) [Shown at right] set the new school breast stroke record at 32.84 seconds.
Freshman Daniel Rawl (Kingston, NY) broke the school record for the men's 50 butterfly setting it at 27.44 seconds.
On the women's side Freshman Daniela Barrera set the school record for the 50 backstroke at 33.75 seconds.
The Generals look forward to competing in the Regional Championship tournament at Monroe Community College February 10th-12th.
