2009 Herkimer Baseball Season Preview

Herkimer CCC Baseball opens the 2009 season ranked #13 by the preseason NJCAA National Poll. Herkimer standout Ty Folli (Union Endicott '07) was also named a 1st Team Preseason All American. NJCAA recognized pitchers Keagan Smith (Madison '07) and Matt Gonyea (Dolgeville '07) as top returning players to watch for in 2009. The 2009 season will prove to be another challenging season as five players from Region III baseball were listed on the first team preseason All American list. Herkimer begins their season with their spring trip to Maryland March 15th. The Generals first home game is March 28th vs. Clinton CC. Herkimer also will host the Regional Final Four this season at Veterans Memorial Park in Little Falls. Herkimer has advanced to the Final Four all four years under Coach Rathbunand advanced to the World Series in 2006 and 2007.
