Barone Selected Region III Male Co-Athlete of the Week.

Herkimer County Community College baseball player Kris Barone (Gloversville, NY) was selected Region III Male Co-Athlete of the Week.

Last week, Barone was the key to a perfect 4-0 week for the Herkimer Generals baseball team, ranked #9 in the most recent NJCAA poll. On Tuesday, Barone went 4-6 against Broome Community College and raised his batting average to .571 on the season. On Wednesday, he threw a complete game shutout against Onondaga Community College, where he worked seven innings, striking out 10 batters and allowing only one walk and one base hit.
