Former Herkimer Baseball Players Making an Impact at Four Year Schools

Many former Herkimer baseball players are having strong years at their four year schools.  Nick Testa (Frankfort, NY) who is currently playing on a baseball scholarship at DII NCAA Davis and Elkins in West Virginia is currently hitting .354 and has started 30 games for the Senators who stand at 16-19 and 7-3 in their conference play.  Todd Allen (Oriskany, NY) a former two time All American is hitting .344 for DIII SUNY Brockport. Chad Salls (Little Falls, NY) is hitting .339 and is 2-1 on the mound this year after finishing second in the country last year in batting average for NCAA DIII Cazenovia College. Salls is also playing with two former Generals at Cazenovia in Brandon Goodman (New Hartford, NY) who is hitting .364 and Tim Nye (Chesterfield, MA) who has started 4 games on the mound for the Wildcats.  Drew Farley (Whitesboro, NY) is currently playing at NAIA DI Bellevue University in Nebraska on a baseball scholarship and hitting .343 with 3 homeruns and 8 doubles for the 14th nationally ranked Bruins.  Kirt Broedel (Waterville, NY) is hitting .344 for NCAA DIII St. Lawrence University. Former All American Keith Hendricks (Stuart, FL) is hitting .274 for NCAA DII Flagler College in Florida on a baseball scholarship and has played in 32 games. Former Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year Paul Newman (Durhamville, NY) is currently playing for NCAA DII Bemidji State in Minnesota and hitting .250 with a homerun while playing in 22 games.  John Florance (Chenango Forks, NY) is playing at NCAA Wilkes University in Pennsylvania and hitting .277 with a homerun.
