New Hartford’s big left handed pitcher/first baseman Eric Verbickas has signed a letter of intent to play for Herkimer Baseball next year. Justin Payne who has served as the ace of Lansing High School’s pitching staff signed a letter of intent to play for Herkimer next year.

Herkimer scored 6 runs in the second inning of game one keyed by a 2 rbi double by Amar Lewis and Herkimer would win game 1 by a score of 9-2. Chris Massar added a solo homerun in the 4th his 6th homerun on the season.

Andy Eggleston ran his record to 5-0 with a complete victory in game 1 of a doubleheader against Niagara. Eggleston allowed 4 hits, 3 walks, and 1 earned run while striking out 1 in the 2-1 victory in game 1.

Corey Stapleton threw a no hitter (2 walks and 4 k's) in game 1 and Amar Lewis, Chris Massar, and George Hajjar went 2-3 as Herkimer cruised to a 10-0 victory.
