Herkimer Baseball Gets Commitments From Verbickas and Payne for 2010

New Hartford's big left handed pitcher/first baseman Eric Verbickas has signed a letter of intent to play for Herkimer Baseball next year.  Eric has hit cleanup and been one of New Hartford's top pitchers the last three years. "We love the raw power that Eric can bring to the table.  He is a big boy for a high school kid and we love his potential.  If he works hard in our program the sky is the limit for him," Head Coach Jason Rathbun.

Justin Payne who has served as the ace of Lansing High School's pitching staff signed a letter of intent to play for Herkimer next year.  Payne was 8-1 as a junior and is again leading his team on the mound this year.  "Justin is a very good pitcher with the ability to compete at a high level.  We look forward to working with him to improve his craft so he can make an impact as a freshman for us." Stated Head Coach Jason Rathbun.
