Herkimer Wins 15th In a Row; Stapleton Throws No Hitter

Corey Stapleton threw a no hitter (2 walks and 4 k's) in game 1 and Amar Lewis, Chris Massar, and George Hajjar went 2-3 as Herkimer cruised to a 10-0 victory. Lane Potter delivered a bases loaded double in a 6 run 4th inning. Keagan Smith then struck out 9 hitters in 5 innings in game 2 with 4 walks, 4 hits, and 1 earned run. Brandon Jones was 3-4 with a triple, Amar Lewis went 2-2, Nick Bloom also went 2-3 with 3 stolen bases. Herkimer started the four run outburst in the second inning on a Jeff Sergott triple which plated one run then received an RBI single from Bloom, a RBI triple from Brandon Jones, and a RBI single from Amar Lewis.

Herkimer now has won 15 straight games and remain perfect in Region 3 as they travel out to Buffalo this weekend to face the #8 Niagara CC and Erie CC on Saturday and Sunday
