MVCC jumped out to a early 4-0 lead but Herkimer would score 3 runs in the 3rd with 2 back to back triples by Ron Patterson and Nick Bloom to make it 4-3. Herkimer would get two runs in the top of the 7th on a 2 rbi single by Al Ferenti and Tom Wiacek pitched a perfect 7th to secure the win for Herkimer.

Herkimer scored 8 runs in game two and that was more than enough for Herkimer starter Andy Eggleston as he improved his record to 4-0 with a complete game victory with 8 strikeouts, 1 walk, and 4 hit shutout. Herkimer now moves to 12-0 in Region 3 and 18-4 overall.
