Potomac began the sixth with a leadoff single then a throwing error on SS Lee Foxton would keep runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs. Ferenti who controlled the game until his defense let him down, then struck out the next two Potomac players. With two outs Potomac would then single and pinch hitter Kurtis Voytell would hit a 2run homer to close the game to 8-7. Tom Wiacek entered the game to try to close out the game but a leadoff walk led to a throwing error by catcher Parker Umbra allowing the runner to advance to third with no outs. Wiacek retired one hitter then allowed a sacrifice fly to tie the game. Potomac would score the winning run in the bottom of the eighth on a base hit by Cody Dalton as Potomac won 9-8.
