Herkimer Baseball’s Lee Foxton to Join NCAA DII Slippery Rock University
Lee Foxton has signed a baseball scholarship to join Head Coach Jeffrey Messer at Slippery Rock University next season. Foxton who will be the starting 2nd baseman for the Generals this season and was also selected as one of the captains for Herkimer this season. Foxton ended the season strong last year hitting a grand slam against Hudson Valley CC in the regional tournament. Foxton posted a .365 batting average as a freshman and started 17 games last year. "Lee is one of those players you love to watch play the game. He is very smart and acts in a professional manner all the time. He has really prepared himself to have a great season this year, but we are even more happy that he has his future planned as a student athlete after Herkimer," stated Head Coach Jason Rathbun.
