Herkimer Baseball Earns #1 Seed of Eastern Region with Split of Schenectady

Herkimer's Lane Potter led the charge in game 1 with a 3-4 game with 2 doubles and a solo homerun that would lock the #1 seed with a 14-10 victory in game one of the final doubleheader of the regular season.  Schenectady pulled the game to 10-9 in the bottom of the sixth inning but Al Ferenti hit a grandslam in the top of the seventh to give Herkimer the lead for good in game one.  Herkimer dropped game two in slugfest as both teams saved their pitching for the regional playoffs this weekend.
