Herkimer Baseball Ranked #8 In Collegiate Baseball Pre-Season Rankings

The Herkimer County Community College men's baseball team is currently ranked #8 nationally in the National Junior College Athletic Association's Division III by Collegiate Baseballin their first pre-season baseball poll, released December 21. The Generals return seven starters from last year's 33-10 team. The seven returning starters hit .363 last year and the four returning starting pitchers went a combined 19-3 in 2009. Joining the Generals this year is transfer Clancy Hall who played in the East Cobb League in Georgia and competed in the Under Armor tournament in Arizona last summer. Looking forward to the season, head coach Jason Rathbun said, "With the addition of Clancy, our other standout freshmen and the leadership of our seniors, this team will be a great group this spring. I think we can achieve all the goals and expectations we have set for this season."
