The 2010-2011 season will mark the second year that the Generals’ softball program will be led by Head Coach PJ Anadio.  Last season, Anadio guided the Generals to another Region III playoff appearance where their season ended at the hands of the defending National Champion TC3 Panthers.  Many Generals softball players received numerous academic and athletic honors, including Freshman Kayla Ladd being named an All-American. They finished the season with an overall record of 21-16.

Before taking over the Softball Program, Anadio served as Herkimer’s assistant baseball coach since 2007. In his first season as assistant coach, Coach PJ helped lead Herkimer to a 35-8 record and a third place finish in the World Series. Along with on-the-field responsibilities, Coach PJ acts as a recruiting coordinator for the program.

Anadio played high school baseball at Gloversville High School, where he was a three-year starter for the varsity team. Anadio transferred to HCCC from Hartwick College and was named a two-year captain for the baseball team under coach Hank Testa. As a freshman, he batted .389 for the Generals and was selected to the All-Mountain Valley Conference Team (2000). Anadio played with current head baseball coach Jason Rathbun that season, when Herkimer qualified for the Region III playoffs for the first time in ten years. Anadio was a very successful student in the classroom where he received numerous honors. He earned Academic All-American, was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and was named to Who's Who Among American Junior College Students.

Anadio is employed as a technical assistant in the College's Fitness Center. He previously worked at Fulton-Montgomery Community College where he assisted well-respected coach Mike Mulligan for three seasons.  He resides in Herkimer with his wife Jamie and his son Evan.
