Herkimer Wins Season Opener at Home
The 2008-09 men's basketball team opened their season with a 90-81 victory over Cayuga C.C. The Generals, ranked 6th in the nation in the preseason poll, were lead by senior co-captain Kevin Kucel's 25 points and five assists. Akeem Ellis added 16 points and lead the team with 11 rebounds. Justin Poirier added nine points and held Cayuga's leading scorer to only seven second half points. Rhamel Williams added 12 points and six rebounds.
