The Generals Continue to Roll

The HCCC men's basketball team continued their winning ways with an 80-55 victory over Columbia- Greene Community College Friday night in Hudson. They have won nine of their last ten games.

Freshman swingman Cliff Brown led the Generals with 23 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Akeem Ellis continued his domination on the boards with 13 points and 15 rebounds and Rhamel Williams contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Kucel lead the team with eight assists. Ellis is fifth in Region III averaging 12 rebounds per game and Kucel is second in assists averaging 6.5 per game. T.J. Abounader and Josh Ramirez lead a strong bench effort with six rebounds and nine points respectively. Julian Bostick chipped in with four assists.

The Generals ran their record to 18-5 with the victory. They are currently second in both Region III and the Mountain Valley Conference {9-2} trailing only Hudson Valley C. C. currently ranked third in the nation. The men return to action Tuesday night at home against rival Fulton Montgomery Community College at 7:00 p.m.. Herkimer will host the Coaches Versus Cancer night.
