Herkimer Men's Basketball Gets Win Over Tough TC3; Ellis Record Another Double Double
The HCCC men's basketball team extended their current winning
streak to eight with a 92-74 victory over #12 in the nation
Tompkins-Cortland Community College last night in Herkimer.
The Generals, ranked sixth in the country, stormed out to a 79-49
lead before settling for the 18 point victory. Akeem Ellis
once again lead the Generals with 17 points, 13 rebounds and seven
assists. Freshman Matt Baldwin from Gloversville had his best
collegiate game with 15 points and Darien Thomas extended his
superb play off of the bench with 10 points and seven rebounds in
18 minutes of action. Ian Austin-Michaud had eight
assists.
The Generals extended their record to 9-2 with their two losses
coming via forfeit for not filing a transfer waiver in a timely
manner. HCCC won those two games by 50 and 49 points
respectively. They return to the court on Saturday to play
Cayuga Community College in Herkimer at 3:00.
