Herkimer Men's Basketball Wins Tenth Game In A Row

Herkimer raced out to a 16 point halftime lead before settling for an 83-69 victory over Broome Community College Tuesday night in Herkimer.  Akeem Ellis lead the Generals with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Rhamel Williams added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Ian Austin-Michaud added nine points and a game high 14 rebounds.  Jerome Floyd sparked HCCC with eight points and four assists off of the bench. Cliff Brown scored 14.

The Generals, ranked #5 in the nation and #1 in Region III in this week's polls, conclude the first half of their season on Thursday at Delhi.  Herkimer [10-2] has won ten games in a row and lead the nation in scoring defense allowing only 55 points per game.
