Herkimer Men's Basketball Comes From Behind To Win In OT; 3's Were The Key To Victory
HCCC improved its record to 16-2 with a come from behind
overtime victory over Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference and
Region III rival Hudson Valley Community College in Troy Saturday
afternoon. The final score was 63-60.
Akeem Ellis and Rhamel Williams continued their strong play as both
registered double doubles. Ellis scored 20 and had 10
rebounds, while Williams added 19 and pulled down 14
rebounds. Both players had key threes at the end of
regulation and again in overtime to pace the General's
attack. Williams two free throws with 2:18 left in overtime
put the Generals ahead for good.
Herkimer, ranked #1 in Region 3 and #3 in the country, will host
local rival Mohawk Valley Community College at 7:00 p.m. on
Wednesday. MVCC is ranked #2 in Region III and #16 in the
country.
