Herkimer Men's Basketball Wins 20th Game Of The Season On The Road
The Herkimer men's basketball team extended their winning streak to 20 games with a hard fought come from behind victory over Fulton Montgomery Community College 61-53 in Johnstown Tuesday evening. Herkimer was behind 39-27 with 11 minutes left before finding their shooting touch and going on a 34-14 run down the stretch to seal the victory.
Senior captains Akeem Ellis, Rhamel Williams, Cliff Brown, and Ian Austin-Michaud tallied all except nine of the Generals' points. Ellis and Brown lead the way with 15 each. Williams had 12 points to go along with his 10 rebounds and 5 steals and Austin-Michaud had a double double with 10 points and 11 boards.
With the win, HCCC improves its record to 20-2, solidifying their #3 national ranking. The Generals return to the hardwood on Thursday when they travel to Onondaga Community College to take on former HCCC coach Dave Pasiak and his Lazers. Game time is 8:00 in Syracuse.
