Free Throws Help Propel Herkimer Men's Basketball To Win
The HCCC men's basketball team extended their winning streak to
22 games with a hard fought 62-58 victory over Columbia-Greene C.C.
in Hudson Saturday afternoon. Clutch free throw shooting by
Rhamel Williams, Cliff Brown, and Akeem Ellis sealed the victory
for the Generals.
Herkimer was lead by Ellis with 22 points, 17 rebounds and 5
assists. Williams added 14 points and eight rebounds. Ian
Austin-Michaud had 10 points and eight rebounds and Brown added
nine points and five assists.
HCCC will conclude its busiest stretch of the season tomorrow when
they face Cayuga Community College in Auburn on Monday night to
make up a game postponed due to inclement weather on January
3. It will be the Generals fifth game in nine days, with the
last four all on the road. They will return home on Friday
against Adirondack
