Herkimer Men's Basketball Pulls Away In Final Minutes To Win; Stevie Once Again Provides Aerial Show

The HCCC men's basketball team concluded the home portion of their schedule with a 75-65 victory over Mountain Valley Conference rival Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Thursday in Herkimer.  The Generals finished with a perfect 15-0 mark at home and ran their winning streak to 26 games.  Herkimer also won the Mountain Valley Conference with the victory.

Rhamel Williams scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds and Akeem Ellis scored 17 points to go with his 11 rebounds.  Cliff Brown chipped in with 10 points and seven assists and Ian Austin-Michaud had six points, eight assists, five rebounds, three steals and a block.  Jerome Floyd came off the bench to score eight to go along with his three assists.

The Generals conclude their regular season this weekend with a trip north to visit Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh on Saturday at 2:00 and then go to Saranac Lake to face North Country Community College at noon on Sunday.

Selection Sunday for the Region III tournament is this Sunday evening.
