Herkimer Men's Basketball Ends Regular Season With Win; Were Unbeaten On Court All Season

The Generals concluded their regular season with a 63-51 victory over North Country Community College on Sunday in Saranac Lake.  Akeem Ellis had a huge game with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists.  Ian Austin-Michaud contributed four points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals to the effort.  Darien Thomas had eight rebounds off of the bench.

The victory runs the Generals final record to 28-2 as they completed the season with their only 2 losses coming from two opening game forfeits due to a paperwork error.  Herkimer finishes the regular season as the Mountain Valley Conference champions.  They are ranked #1 in Region 3 and #3 in the country.

HCCC will return to action on Friday in the first round of the Region III playoffs.  They face  North Country Community College on Friday at 1:00 at Jefferson Community College in Watertown.  Should the Generals advance, they will take on the winner of the Hudson Valley C.C./Schenectady C.C. game on Saturday at 1:00 at Jefferson.
