Herkimer Men's Basketball Squashes Hornets; Brown Leads The Offensive Charge

The HCCC Men's basketball team stunned Broome Community College with an 18-0 run to begin the game and cruised to an 83-44 victory in Binghamton on Thursday.  The Generals were paced by Cliff Brown with 18 points, five rebounds and six assists.  Akeem Ellis and Ian Austin Michaud both recorded double doubles, Ellis with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Austin-Michaud with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Senior co-captain Rhamel Williams added 11 points and six steals and Darien Thomas was again solid off of the bench with seven rebounds and 14 points.

The victory ran the Generals record to 4-2.  They face conference rival North Country Community College on Saturday at 1:00 in Herkimer and then travel to Corning at 3:00 on Sunday to complete their four games in six days stretch.  Herkimer is ranked 9th in the country in the latest NJCAA poll.
