Herkimer Men's Basketball Wins Fifth Straight; Ellis Grabs 12 Boards

The Generals ran their winning streak to five games with a 94-51 victory over conference rival North Country Community College Saturday afternoon in Herkimer.  The Generals were once again paced by their captains Akeem Ellis, Rhamel Williams, Cliff Brown, and Ian Austin-Michaud.  Ellis had 23 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.  Williams had 12 points, nine rebounds and three steals.  Brown dished out four assists and had five steals to go with his 14 points and Austin-Michaud had 12 rebounds and five assists.  Reggie German chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.

Justin Poirier, who played for Herkimer last year lead NCCC with 12 points.

The Generals travel to Corning Community College at 3:00 on Sunday before returning home for a rematch against Finger Lakes Community College on Tuesday.
