Herkimer Men's Basketball Releases 2009-10 Roster; Ranked #3 In NJCAA Pre-Season Poll
The Herkimer County Community College men's basketball team is ranked 3rd in the nation in the National Junior College Athletic Preseason poll announced Monday. HCCC finished 6th in last year's final poll. The Generals return four starters from last year's 25-6 squad including Mountain Valley Conference player of the year Akeem Ellis, a 6'6' forward and New Hartford graduate Reggie German,a 6'4" guard. The Generals open the season against Schenectady County Community College on Wednesday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Union College. The Generals are coached by Matt Lee beginning his seventh year at the helm for Herkimer.
