Men’s basketball player Stevie Thompson, (Jamesville-Dewitt High School, Syracuse), averaged 14.2 points, 12.2 rebounds and shot 68.2% from the field for the month of November, under Coach Matt Lee. He has had five “double-double” games and scored the game-winning basket with 4.3 seconds left in a 91-90 come from behind victory over North Country Community College on November 20. He is a Business: Sports & Recreation Management major.

HCCC Graduate Honored as Region III Male Athlete of the Year
Herkimer County Community College graduate Akeem Ellis (Brooklyn, NY) was recently named Region III Male Athlete of the Year by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). He received the honor as point guard for the 2009-2010 HCCC men’s basketball team.
