Generals Defeat CCBC-Essex 12-11

Herkimer battled all afternoon long and came out victorious against CCBC Essex 12 - 11. CCBC Essex was previously ranked # 4 in the country ahead of Herkimer, but with this win - Herkimer is currently ranked # 2 in the nation.

Herkimer's offense was powered by JP Finn with a 5 point day on 4 goals and 1 assist. Doug Hoch and Dan Lawson each finished the day with 4 points. Hoch had 1 goal and 3 assists while Lawson had 3 goals and 1 assist. David Limbouris had a 2 goal performance. AJ Vittorio had a crucial goal in the 4th quarter to keep things going for the Generals while Andy Jamieson had two assists with Tom Szevin and Kiegan Scharnberg adding one assist each in the win.

Sophomore goalie Dan Solazzo came up huge with 18 saves and only 11 goals on 36 shots faced. Herkimer's defense did a great job of giving up the outside shot and not allowing anything inside.

Herkimer is now 3 - 1 overall with our home opener on Saturday, March 28th at 1pm against Alfred State.
