Generals Cruise Past Finger Lakes

Herkimer defeats Fingerlakes C.C. 24 - 6

Zeppy O'Geen won the opening face off and carried the ball in himself to score 14 seconds into the opening whistle. Herkimer's goaltending was stellar combining for 22 saves. Danny Solazzo finished with 9 saves and freshman Bentray Reed stepped in and finished the game ending with 13 saves.

The Generals offense was led by returning All-American Doug Hoch who had 5 goals and 2 assists. JP Finn had another strong performance with 4 goals and 2 assists. Dan Lawson had a great night of distributing the ball with 1 goal and 5 assists. Andy Jamieson, Zeppy O'Geen and Brendan Murphy all contributed with 3 points a piece and AJ Vittorio, Mat Thompson and Jeff Seager all added two goals a piece. Spencer Smith had 1 goal and Brendan Slepoy had 1 goal and 1 assist.

The Generals improve to 6 - 1 overall and remain undefeated in Region III play. Herkimer plays both at home on Tuesday night against Mohawk Valley at 6pm and also on Saturday at 3pm against Region III rival Onondaga C.C.
