Men's Soccer Come Back to Defeat CC of Morris 2-1 in OT; Advance to Championship Game

The Herkimer Men's soccer team took one step closer to becoming the NJCAA Division III National Champions. The Herkimer Generals defeated County College of Morris (NJ) 2-1 in overtime. CC Morris scored first to take a 1-0 lead. Herkimer got on the board in the second half as Harry Appiah scored Herkimer's goal with the assist from Lee Martins to tie the game at 1-1. Herkimer then scored the winning goal 8:00 minutes into the first 10 minute overtime to win 2-1. Lee Martins scored the game winning goal with the assist from Cedric Bouemboue. The Herkimer Generals Men's Soccer team will play against Triton College (Ill) for the NJCAA Division III Men's National Soccer Championship tomorrow beginning at 1:30 pm (CST), 2:30 pm (EST).
