Herkimer Men's Soccer Advances to Region III Championship Game; Knocks Off Host Tompkins Cortland CC

Freshman Gustavo Pereira scored in the 56th minute to lead the Generals to a 2-0 win against host Tompkins Cortland CC.  Senior Kariym Balthazar scored the insurance goal in the 75th minute.  Both goals were assisted by freshman Ted Cribley.  Senior goalkeeper James Taber made 4 saves on the day.  The Generals advance to the Region III Championship game against North Country CC who beat Mohawk Valley CC 4-2 in the other semi-final.  Kick-off is at 1:00pm at Tompkins Cortland CC.
