Third General named men’s soccer All-American
Herkimer, NY – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has named its All-American teams, and three Generals have been granted that high honor. Two of those Generals – Reco McLaren and Charlie Anderson – had previously been named as National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans, and now Herkimer fullback Devarr Pedlar has joined the elite ranks.
Reco McLaren, Bridgeport, CT and Charlie Anderson, Southampton, England were both named First Team All-Americans by the coaches’ association. Click here for more information on McLaren and Anderson.
Devarr Pedlar, Brooklyn, NY, a Liberal Arts & Sciences: General Studies major, was named NSCAA Second Team All-American. Head Coach Pepe Aragon said, “Devarr played exceptionally well for the Generals this season. It is great to see all three players recognized for their hard work.”

Pedlar was an anchor of the Herkimer defensive corps. He typically worked with fellow backs Elliott Hockley, Mike Kuss, Gio-Vaughni Linton, and Stephen Dounghy to complement the excellent goal tending of Davion Bailey and Erik Szczerba.
