HCCC to Host King’s Court Softball Pitching Clinic

Herkimer, NY—Herkimer County Community College’s women’s softball team will be hosting a pitching clinic starting Saturday afternoon, February 4, 2012 in the Varsity Gym from 2-4 p.m. for ages 8-18. The clinic is a four-week progression with the rest of the sessions taking place on Sunday afternoons from 2-4 p.m. throughout the month of February.

Pitching Coach Doug King will be the lead instructor for the clinic and brings a wealth of knowledge and vast experience at the youth, high school and college levels. This clinic will focus on all aspects of pitching. Instruction in physical skills, as well as mental skills will make you successful in the circle!  Techniques, fundamentals, grips, drills, mental preparation and focus, fielding your position, and communication with your catcher are all things that a pitcher needs to know to be successful, and will be covered.
