Herkimer Softball hosting hitting clinic in January

Herkimer, NY—Herkimer County Community College will host a hitting clinic for girls ages 8 to 18 on Sundays from January 8 to 29, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The clinic will focus on basic fundamentals and building the swing from the ground up for the younger players, while concentrating on the finer aspects of the offensive game for the older players, through a series of “Big League,” fun and innovative drills. All participants will be allotted cage time each session and will be provided with a video analysis DVD upon completion of the four-week clinic. There will be special guest appearances and presentations by college coaches and former professional softball players.

Cost for the four-week program is $50. Individual sessions are $20 each. Extra cage time will be available at an additional cost. Sneakers and workout clothes are required, and players are encouraged to bring their own bats and helmets.
