Amy Dommer will take over as an assistant coach for softball starting this season.  She served as Head Coach for Herkimer County Community College's women's softball team from 2003-2009. Dommer transformed the HCCC softball program back into a regional contender. In 2006, the team competed in the Region III tournament and was the Mountain Valley Conference co-championship team finishing the season with a 24-5 record. In 2005, Brelinsky was selected Mountain Valley Coach of the Year.

Dommer is a native of Newport, NY and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from Canisius College where she competed in softball and soccer at the NCAA Division I level. In addition to coaching, she is an instructor of physical education at HCCC.
