The Generals’ swimming and diving teams gave another sterling performance on Saturday at Erie Community College. Both the Herkimer women’s and men’s teams placed second in fields of seven, being outdone only by the Tribunes of Monroe CC.

HCCC hosted a Sprint Invitational swimming and diving meet on Saturday, January 15. The Lady Generals finished in first place and the men’s team finished second in fields of six teams.

The Generals’ swimming and diving teams competed in their first-ever 50-meter long course meet at Erie Community College on Saturday. The women swam to a first place finish and the men placed second in a field of four teams.

Emily Washburn - Swimming and Diving - Green & Gold Athlete for November
Women’s swimming and diving team member Emily Washburn, (Adirondack High School, Forestport, NY) a Childhood Education major, broke three individual school records in three meets (100 FR, 100 BA, 100 FLY) and is also a member of four record-breaking relay teams, for a total of seven school records. She placed first in five of six events at three meets. Coach Vicki Brown said, “Emily is an incredible athlete. She is a true team player.”

Swimmers Off to Great Start, Set Records at Genesee
HCCC’s women’s and men’s swimming and diving teams got their season off to a great start at the annual Harvest Invitational hosted by Genesee Community College. The Lady Generals finished first in the six-team event and the men finished in second place, just points behind Alfred State.
