Generals Ousted in First Round

The Generals fell to a very good Finger Lakes team in the quarter finals at the Region III Women's Basketball Championship at Tompkins Cortland Community College 76-67.  Herkimer jump to an early lead and led 38-27 at the half.  Finger Lakes battled back taking their first lead 49-48 with 11 minutes to go in the game.  Point guard Jennifer Lighthall fouled out with nine minutes to play and the game remained close throughout the second half. Samantha Fox led Herkimer with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocked shots.
