John Campagna is entering his 21st year as head coach of the women's basketball team. Campagna has posted the most wins in Region III women's basketball history with 384 wins over the past 20 years. His teams have been successful off the court as well and since 1992, 90 percent of the women's basketball players have graduated or successfully transferred to four year institutions.

Campagna works in the Athletic Department as a student-athlete specialist and is responsible for tracking and monitoring student athlete academic success. He developed a system which allows communication between teaching faculty, coaches and athletes throughout the academic year. HCCC has earned a prestigious record of 28 Academic Team of The Year Awards and has had over 170 players named Academic All-Americans in a variety of sports since 1991.

Campagna resides in Herkimer with his wife, Tracey, and daughter and son.
