Herkimer Women's Lacrosse Rolls In Opener

Herkimer women’s lacrosse opened their season on the road with a 21-3 victory over Cayuga CC. The game started in Cayuga favor scoring the first goal of the game. But Herkimer came back to answer scoring 3 goals in 35 seconds of play.  This Herkimer team really showed both its offensive strength as well as its defensive strength making it very difficult for the Cayuga team to transition the ball to their offensive half. At half time the score was 13-2.  The second half of the game was played with just as much charisma and finesse as the first half. Bethany Jennings made her lacrosse debut with 3 saves. Her voice and leadership on the field is sure to be an asset to the Herkimer Generals team. Cori Schoen scored 4 goals and had 3 assist, Danielle Hulslander scored 2 goals and 2 assists, Lauren Pescetti scored 6 goals and 2 assists, Brittany Hohwald had 5 goals and 3 assists, Krista Jones and Anna Bellefiore both had 1 goal and I assist and Kim Vrigian  had 2 goals and Jami Murray added 2 assists.
