Herkimer Women's Lacrosse Come Back To Sting Broome
Herkimer Generals won on the road today with a great victory over Broome 17-10. The ladies started this game out slow with a halftime score of nine to seven in Broomes favor. The second half the ladies came out strong. Defensively in the second half, Annamarie Bellafiore, Melissa Tundo, Sarah Dorosz, and Shannon Mitchell, overcame the defensive hardships they experienced in the first half to hold the Hornets to one goal in the second half. Brittany Hohwald played a very strong game, assisting the defense and scoring six goals. Lauren Pescetti showed great athleticism controlling numerous draws throughout the game and adding five goals. Cori Schoen and Jami Murray added five points each for the Generals. The Generals travel again Thursday to Jefferson for what should be a competitive region three match up.
