Herkimer Women's Soccer Bounces Back; Wins 1-0

After their first loss of the season on Wednesday, the Herkimer Generals bounced back with a 1-0 win over Region III competitior  Niagara CCC. The first half was scoreless and saw lots of play back and forth for both teams.  Going into the second half there was much of the same until Sam Signor collected the ball and gave Maria Scerra a perfect pass to find the back of the net. With four minutes in the game, the Generals took the lead 1-0 and that proved to be enough for the game.  Amber Swanston had a great game in goal making 6 saves for the shutout victory. Herkimer is now 12-1-0 overall and will be back in action on Tuesday at Monroe CC.
