Herkimer Women's Soccer Shut Out; Swanston Has 17 Saves

The Herkimer Lady Generals faced a tough, undefeated Monroe CC today and lost 4-0.  Despite being down several starters, Herkimer was able to battle for the ball in the middle of the field. Monroe's sharp shooters found the back of the net twice before halftime and twice again in the second half.  Despite the goals, the defense played well stopping several attacks on the goal. Amber Swanston anchored the defense by having 17 saves in the net for Herkimer. Herkimer is now 12-2 overall and hosts Alfred State on Saturday, October 10th at 1 pm.
