Coach’s Comments- scores after day 1.  HCCC 13, OCC 12, Delhi 11. Herkimer had six players in the finals, OCC and Delhi had five in the finals.  Herkimer won five of their six finals on day two of the tournament.

The momentum change in the tournament was third doubles (Milillo/Galway) three-set win over #1 seed OCC.  The match was the girls' biggest pressure situation to date and they came through huge for Herkimer.  That match took a lot of pressure off HCCC for day two.  If they lost that match, OCC would have had the lead after day one and more events in the final on Sunday.  Their match gave us a huge positive spark at the end of the day.

Herkimer had amazing outings from senior Captains Abby Smith and Danielle Fadness who extended their "perfectness" throughout the weekend. Both ladies improved their singles records to 12-0 and won their second consecutive Regional singles titles for HCCC.  (Smith won the title at second singles last year, Fadness won the title at sixth singles last year.)  They played with so much heart and were awesome examples for our first year students.
