Kristy Lynch
Kristy Lynch is entering into her third season at Herkimer County Community College. In her first year coaching at Herkimer, Lynch was named Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the year. She continues to recruit quality student-athletes to build a strong program. A 1999 graduate of Herkimer County Community College (A.S. in Physical Education), Lynch competed on the HCCC women's volleyball team and was named MVP in 1997 and 1998.
In 2003, Lynch began coaching for the Caroga Lake Junior Olympic Volleyball Club under the direction of Jim Gabeler. The Club has had great success and is one of the top programs in CNY and the surrounding areas. Lynch also coached the Oppenheim-Ephratah Varsity team for 3 years, leading them to a Division championship in 2007.
Beyond her coaching responsibilities, Lynch competes in grass doubles and quads tournaments within the Albany, NY area through Capital District Grass Doubles. She also is co-director of Gateway Athletic Alliance, a non-profit organization that raises funds for student-athletes.
Lynch holds a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Ithaca College and a master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. She is currently employed as a health teacher at Johnstown High School in the Johnstown City School District. She resides in Oppenheim with her husband Brett.
